EMPOWORD Poetry Foundry (EPF) marks the renaissance of EMPOWORD, a Slough-based poetry initiative. Together we are growing new poetry and ideas with young people at our core. Slough people speak over 150 languages and their voices will embed poetry in our cultural landscape and cement our town’s reputation for shaping new spoken word talent.

EPF creates poetry events, workshops, performances and job opportunities that are accessible to all, enabling people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to engage with poetry, improve wellbeing, re-connect with others, and develop new skills. Together we forge creative futures for people just starting to believe they have stories to tell.
